There are many ways that businesses and organisations can support PAC.
Charity of the Year
Many charities nominate a charity each year as their Charity of the Year. They then raise funds during that year in a variety of ways to support their chosen charity. If you are interested in nominating PAC as your COTY and wish to discuss the ways in which you can work with PAC please contact Kelly Hall on 01373 455255 or email fundraising@positiveactiononcancer.co.uk
Donation Tins
Having a donation tin in your business for staff and/or customers to deposit loose change can be a really good way to support PAC. Once you order a tin we can deliver it to you and then collect it every time it needs emptying. Contact Kelly Hall on 01373 455255 or email fundraising@positiveactiononcancer.co.uk if you would like to hold a tin in your business.
Sell PAC Charity Items
PAC produce a number of charity items including Christmas cards, notelets and purple ribbon lapel pins. We are looking for outlets to sell these to increase our fundraising and help us spread the word about the charity. If you are interested in selling some items on behalf of PAC on a sale or return basis please contact Kelly Hall on 01373 455255 or email fundraising@positiveactiononcancer.co.uk
Donate Raffle Prizes and Auction Lots
We regularly have the opportunity to hold raffles and auctions as a fundraising activity. We are therefore often looking for donations of prizes. If you would be willing and able to donate a prize we would love to hear from you. We could add your name and contact details to our donation list and the next time we have a raffle or auction we will be in touch. To add your details to our list please email fundraising@positiveactiononcancer.co.uk
Hold Fundraising Events
Next time you are holding an event for your business why not add a fundraising element and support PAC. You could dedicate a launch party, Christmas party or promotional event to PAC. Your business will benefit as will PAC.
Organise Your Own
There are many activities that you can organise as a fundraiser. Why not sell cakes, have a non-uniform day or have a swear box and help to raise vital funds for PAC. We have a fundraising pack containing more ideas. Fundraising Pack (pdf).

Become a PAC Backer!
Companies can benefit in many ways through supporting charitable organisations and activities. Positive Action on Cancer can help you to achieve your corporate social responsibility goals. The PAC Backers scheme has been designed as a working partnership and we hope that local businesses in the area will participate in this scheme.
- What does the partnership involve?
PAC will acknowledge your companies support via a dedicated PAC Backers page on the new charity website, offer you discounts on attendance to PAC organised events, supply you with a special logo that you can use on web and print materials to show you support PAC and if opportunities arise to sponsor an event, specific activity or communicate with our contacts, members of the PAC Backers will be the first to know.
- How much does it cost?
The purpose of this scheme is to raise vital funds for the work of PAC at the same time as raising awareness of PAC and our PAC Backers. We will be charging £100 per annum for membership to the PAC Backers scheme.
- Why support PAC?
Positive Action on Cancer provides free, professional counselling to adults and children affected or bereaved by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. PAC is the only charity in BANES, Somerset and West Wiltshire to offer this service. The charity receives no government funding and relies upon the support of individuals, grant-making trusts and local businesses. By supporting PAC you are supporting your local charity and the services that we offer to local people.
