FUNDRAISING
Coffee morning
Why not impress family and friends and bake cakes to sell at your very own coffee morning. This is a great fun activity for children and adults alike. You could charge a small entrance fee of about £2 and a nominal charge for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, or a glass of juice and a fairy cake.
Clothes swap
Invite all your family and friends to bring their unwanted clothes and have clothes swap - this is a real treat for bargain hunters. As people arrive you make a small charge of about £3 and then they add their unwanted clothes to the rest of the piles and you charge say 50p per item and any clothes left over at the end of the sale are yours to keep or take to a charity shop.
Jumble Sale
Do you know of a hall that would let you use it for free in order to raise money for PAC? You could organise your very own jumble sale. Ask friends and family to donate anything they don't want (you could also put posters up in your local area/town) and get the word around and in the local press etc.
Second-hand book sale
Just like a jumble sale but books…
Car boot sale
Why not get rid of all your unwanted junk (and friends and family's) and set up a charity stall at a local car boot sale. The sales you make on the day will undoubtedly cover the cost of the pitch and the rest you can donate to PAC. Car boot sales are great fun and you can have 'everything for a pound' or 'make me an offer' stall. We all love a bargain!
Hold a Dinner4good
This is a fantastic new concept about hosting a dinner party whilst raising funds for charity. Go to www.dinner4good.com/PositiveActionOnCancer/dinner-charity.php
Book group donations
Are you part of a book group that meets once a month? Once every two months? Well now you can become part of the 'read for charity' model which asks each member of a group to donate £1 at each meeting. The member of the group who chose the book collects the donations and delivers to the PAC offices. This is a brilliant way of making a big difference in a small way for your and your friends.
