WHY COUNSELLING?

Many of us will face a diagnosis of cancer at some time in our lives or will lose someone close to us because of cancer. Whether it's you, your partner, a family member or a friend who is affected, it can trigger painful and distressing feelings.

Counselling provides a safe, supportive environment where you can talk about difficult feelings. Sometimes it can be helpful to be able to talk openly without worrying that you might be judged, or feeling concerned that you might upset other people. Research shows that counselling can help people affected by cancer to cope with some of the challenges that it brings.
